March 2026 Newsletter

March is coming in as a lion!

In our case – it is certainly all hands on deck! As well as our ongiong farm service processing, we have confirmed orders with two pillow manufacturers and a custom tailor. We are still in discussion with four other businesses – working on prototypes and samples.

The new building has been confirmed!
Painting, washing, measuring and planning are all in the works. Our focus will now be to get the weaving and knitting equipment, office, lunch room, and finishing area moved into a more efficient, light-filled space.

The guild members will be involved in making the makers’ space homey and user-friendly, allowing access seven days a week.

We can really feel Spring approaching. We have launched a poll to guess how many blizzards are remaining!

The April Beginner Weaving Class registration is open!
We will soon have information out on a series of leatherworking workshops.

Wave

Entries are now open for the 2026 Wave Ontario Wardrobe Challenge!

Wave and Nicholas will be travelling to Toronto this March to participate in the ‘Landmade Speaker Series’ and Market!
Along with other professionals in the Agriculture, Fibre, and Fashion circle, they will discuss processing local fibre into fabric, Ontario farmers and fibres, and the need for sustainable and ethical fashion.
We will also have a market table at the event, with a selection of Wool products from our mill here in Seguin.
Please let us know if there are any specific items you would like to see on our market table! Or, if you want your order delivered to the city for pick up.
For more information, please visit the official website below!

Wave met with two guilds to discuss the process of transforming raw wool into a finished product.
She spoke with guild members from both Ottawa and Etobicoke.
We’re passionate about educating the public about the behind the scenes process of creating these products!

New Sweaters Available

Nina has been working hard to create more one-of-a-kind sweater designs on our knitting machines.
Each sweater is hand-dyed with small batch, natural dyes. The yarn is lightweight with a loose gauge, to better suit the coming spring and summer temparatures!
Available now in our store!
