December 2025 Newsletter

We were well received at the Royal Winter Fair, meeting friends, making new acquaintances, and talking with farmers and fashionistas alike!

The Northern Ontario Pavilion enables several small businesses the opportunity to reach into the Southern market, and the staff does an incredible job supporting each and every one.

Thank you all and I look forward to the opportunity to attend next year.

Next up is the Parry Sound Stockey Centre Christmas Show November 28th & 29th. We will have a full compliment or garments and products for sale.

Do keep in mind that we close December 24th to January 5th, so any holiday shopping must be done before that.

All of my best wishes over the holiday season and my heartfelt thanks to one and all for your support and encouragement in growing this business!

Watch our progress next year as we expand into a second building.

Wave

Wave Fibre Mill in Collaboration with Dana Lee Brown
& Black Sheep Farm

It was a truly wonderful experience to create these Felted Blanket Scarves for designer Dana Lee Brown.
Working in collaboration with Dana Lee Brown and Brenda Hsueh, we processed gorgeous fleeces from Black Sheep Farm and wove them into these lush and soft blanket scarves!
These scarves feature hand-fringed ends and are woven in two variations of plaid.

Follow the link below to Dana Lee Brown’s website and check out her video detailing the process from soil to loom!

Additions to the flock at Pondering Rock!

We recently brought three new ewes to join our flock at Pondering Rock Farm!
Framboise, Fennel, and Cassie are each a Blue Faced Leicester cross.
All the girls are getting along well and we’re so happy to see them settling in!

Wave Fibre Mill at the Royal Winter Fair

We brought all the warmth of Ontario Wool from our mill in Seguin to the Royal Winter Fair!
Wave was on site to meet and greet fellow businesses from Northern Ontario in the Northern Ontario Pavilion, as well as connect with an abundance of farmers, textile artists, and designers.
Our talented weavers, Nick and Nina, also stayed for the duration of the fair, assisting with set-up, tear-down and providing insight into the process they take to turn our yarns into gorgeous, drapey yardage!
Thank you to all who stopped by to visit, shop our goods, and meet our team!
Also a heartfelt thank you to all those who joined us to help us mind the Wave Fibre Mill booth throughout the duration of the fair!
We’re already gathering ideas for next year!

For sheep lovers! We have a farmer looking to downsize their flock and rehome 5-10 ewes. They are  BFL crosses with soft, long-stapled 6-9”, textured fleeces, with grey and brown tones. They have been shearing almost twice a year, depending on the staple length needed.
The sheep have great fleeces for felting, hand spinning, commercial spinning, and fibre crafts. These ewes are used to being outdoors all day in the Summer and Winter and being moved by a Border Collie.
If anyone is interested in the breeding flock please get in touch with us at Wave Fibre Mill.
